If you’ve been scanning those Variety headlines you’re probably aware of the Writer’s Guild strike growing ever-imminent. Guild members recently voted to authorize a strike, but there’s still a chance that the WGA and the studios can negotiate a contract agreement before May 1st when the original contract ends. Members are hoping to establish new royalty agreements to reflect the changing entertainment landscape, but are also looking for studios to contribute more to writers’ healthcare benefits.
